Live ClassroomRecording a session

Recording a session

Recording saves the lesson so a student can watch it again, or so someone who missed it can catch up. It is available on Pro and Academy, and only the host can start it.

Start recording

Choose Rec in the control bar. The button tells you where it is up to: starting, then recording in red while it runs.

Tell the class you are recording before you start. It is good manners, and in some places it is the law.

Stop recording

Choose stop to finish. The button switches to processing while the file is prepared, which takes a few minutes.

Watch it back

Once processing finishes, the recording sits with the lesson and on its wrap-up.

If recording will not start

The message tells you which of these it is:

MessageWhat to do
Not available on your planRecording needs Pro or Academy. See Plans and limits.
Storage fullDelete recordings you no longer need, or add the storage add-on.
Recording capacity reachedAnother recording is running. Wait for it to finish.

Recording and the AI wrap-up are separate. Recording saves the video to watch again; the AI wrap-up transcribes the lesson to draft your notes. You can use either, both, or neither.
