Troubleshooting the classroom
Almost every classroom problem is one of three things: a browser permission, the wrong device selected, or a weak connection. Work through them in that order.
Nobody can see or hear me
Check the browser permission
Your browser has a camera icon in the address bar. Open it and make sure Teamlilit is allowed to use the camera and microphone. A blocked permission is by far the most common cause.
Close whatever else is using the camera
Zoom, Meet, Teams and Photo Booth can all hold onto a camera and leave nothing for the browser. Quit them, do not just close the window.
Refresh
Reload the page. You rejoin the same lesson without losing anything.
I can hear an echo
Wear headphones. Echo is almost always someone’s microphone picking up their own speakers, and headphones end it instantly.
The wrong camera or microphone is being used
Open Settings in the control bar and pick the right one. On a phone, Flip camera switches between front and back.
The video keeps freezing
- Turn your camera off. Audio is what matters most, and it needs far less bandwidth.
- Move closer to the router, or use a cable.
- Close other tabs and apps that are streaming or syncing.
I cannot get in at all
- Check the lesson has actually started. If you arrive early you land in the waiting room, which joins you automatically when the teacher starts.
- Make sure you are signed in as the account that was invited.
- Try a different browser. Chrome and Edge are the most reliable.
Still stuck
Contact support from your dashboard and mention your browser, your device, and what you saw. Teamlilit attaches the technical context automatically, so you do not have to describe your setup. See Getting support.
