Chat
Every lesson has a chat panel for questions, links and anything easier typed than said. Messages carry each person’s name, photo and a timestamp, and you can scroll back through the lesson.
Chat is also the polite way for a student to interrupt: a question typed while you are mid-explanation waits for you instead of talking over you.
Sharing files
Drag a file into the chat, or use Attach file. Common document types are supported up to the per-file size limit, and anyone in the lesson can download what has been shared.
If a file is refused, it is either a type that is not allowed or over the size limit. The message says which.
Putting a document in front of everyone
The host can present a shared file, which moves it into the main view for the whole class. Everyone sees “your teacher is presenting this document” and follows the same page, rather than each opening their own copy.
That is the difference between sharing a worksheet and working through it together.
Files shared during a lesson stay with it. They are collected on the wrap-up under Boards, along with the whiteboards you used, so a student can find them again afterwards.
